Led Zeppelin History – July 24

Today in 1979 Zeppelin played their first concert of that year (as a “warm up” for their upcoming Aug 4 and Aug 11 shows at Knebworth Park in the UK) at the Falkoner Theatre in Copenhagen. The Copenhagen show featured the first-ever live performances of “Hot Dog” and “In The Evening”, both from the soon-to-be-released In Through the Out Door album. The Copenhagen and Knebworth shows would be the only concerts Zeppelin would perform in 1979, and their first anywhere since the curtailment of their 1977 U.S. tour in July of that year.

Setlist: The Song Remains the Same, Celebration Day, Black Dog, Nobody’s Fault But Mine, Over the Hills and Far Away, Misty Mountain Hop, Since I’ve Been Loving You, No Quarter, Hot Dog, The Rain Song, White Summer~Black Mountain Side, Kashmir, Trampled Underfoot, Achilles Last Stand, Jimmy Page solo, In The Evening, Stairway to Heaven, Rock and Roll.
