Led Zeppelin History – Sept 28

Today in 1980 Led Zeppelin officially cancelled their upcoming 1980 North American tour, due to John Bonham’s death three days prior. As tributes to Bonham poured in from across the world, speculation was rife that Zeppelin would disband.

Cancelled dates were:
OCTOBER 17 – MONTREAL FORUM
OCTOBER 19+20 – CAPITOL CENTRE, LANDOVER, MD
OCTOBER 22 – THE SPECTRUM, PHILADELPHIA, PA
OCTOBER 23 – CAPITOL CENTRE, LANDOVER, MD
OCTOBER 26+27 – RICHFIELD COLISEUM, CLEVELAND, OH
OCTOBER 29+30 – JOE LOUIS ARENA, DETROIT, MI
NOVEMBER 1 – WAR MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM, BUFFALO, NY
NOVEMBER 3+4 – THE SPECTRUM, PHILADELPHIA, PA
NOVEMBER 6+7 – CIVIC ARENA, PITTSBURGH, PA
NOVEMBER 9 – CIVIC CENTRE ARENA, ST. PAUL, MN
NOVEMBER 10,12,13,15 – CHICAGO STADIUM
