Today in 1976 Led Zeppelin began rehearsals in London for their 11th (and as it turned out, last) U.S. tour, to begin Feb 27, 1977 in Fort Worth, TX. The first number they ran down was “Achilles Last Stand”, from the 1976 Presence album. However, on Feb 24 Robert Plant developed severe tonsillitis and the tour kickoff was postponed to April 1 in Dallas.
