Led Zeppelin History – March 16

This is more post-Led Zeppelin history…

Today in 1993 Jimmy Page and David Coverdale (Deep Purple, Whitesnake) released the collaborative album Coverdale-Page. The album was a critical and commercial success, owing mainly to its “Led Zeppelin” type sound. It reached #4 in the UK and #5 on the US Billboard 200 chart. And the first single, “Pride and Joy”, held the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart for six weeks. The second single, “Shake My Tree”, didn’t chart as high but is also a great rocker (and a better song IMHO).
