Led Zeppelin History – March 17

Today in 1969 Zeppelin were filmed live in Copenhagen on the Danish TV show TV-Byen. The special mini-concert included “Communication Breakdown”, “Dazed and Confused”, “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You”, and “How Many More Times”. Filmed in black & white, it shows the band working their way with ease through the four songs, in front of a small studio audience of mainly teenagers seated cross-legged on the floor. It’s vintage stuff from a young band out to prove themselves. The show remained in the can however, until a special surprise UK screening on BBC 2 on Jan 1, 1990. It can now be found on Zeppelin’s 2003 2-DVD set titled Led Zeppelin.
