Led Zeppelin History – May 4

Today in 1973 Zeppelin started their ninth North American tour, at Atlanta Stadium. This concert saw the introduction of their first sophisticated light show, including mirror balls and dry ice. The attendance of 49,236 fans broke the attendance record there set seven years prior by The Beatles, and set a record for the largest concert crowd in Georgia’s history. The gate was $246,180 in gross receipts.

Setlist: Rock and Roll, Celebration Day, Bring It On Home (intro), Black Dog, Over the Hills and Far Away, Misty Mountain Hop, Since I’ve Been Loving You, No Quarter, The Song Remains the Same, Rain Song, Dazed and Confused, Stairway to Heaven, Moby Dick, Heartbreaker, Whole Lotta Love.
