Led Zeppelin History – May 29

Today in 1970 Zeppelin recorded “Hey Hey What can I Do” at Olympic Studios in London. Jimmy Page has said that he used his own personal RCA limiter/compressor on the guitars.

The song is the only Led Zeppelin track never to appear on any Led Zeppelin album. It was only available as the B-side of the “Immigrant Song” single (released in Nov, 1970) outside the UK, and within the UK it appeared on the 1972 Atlantic Records various artists promo LP, The New Age of Atlantic. Before inclusion on the 1990 4-CD box set, these were the only two places the track could be found. It was also released in 1990 as a cassette single and as a CD single.
